Schooling Them on Technology

Today, I used Nearpod to give students a quick review of what they learned last Friday. Overall, I think it went very well. I was able to see and quickly give feedback to the class as a whole. I think students were able to re-evaluate their answers to the free-response section, which is helpful for them since they have a quiz tomorrow.
One downside to the lesson was that only 30 students were able to log in to Nearpod. As a result, some of the students had to share and write down their responses. I did not realize that Nearpod capped the amount of participants on the free version. This caused some classroom awkwardness, but wasn't such a big deal overall. However, this does mean that I probably won't be using Nearpod with this class in the near future, just because I have more than 30 students. Good one Mr. H.
As we talked about the questions on Nearpod, I couldn't actually tell if students were processing wha I was saying. By giving them another opportunity at the end of class (or later), I would be able to evaluate whether that discussion was helpful or not.
